Change Taxation Balances for a specific Payee.

🎯 Edit is unavailable if the Payee is included in an unposted Pay Run. To edit the Payee, the Payee must either be removed from the Pay Run or the Pay Run must be posted/reported to the ATO.

 

  1. Enter Opening Taxation Balances for a specific Payee.
  2. Change Opening Taxation Balances for a specific Payee.

Enter Opening Taxation Balances for a specific Payee.

  1. Select Payees from the side menu.
  2. Locate the Payee you require by manually scrolling through the Payee List, entering the name into Search or using Show Advanced Filters.
  3. Once the Payee has been located, select Actions > Edit.
  4. Select Taxation Balances.
  5. Select Opening/Adjustment, then Tax Treatments and Income Stream(s).
  6. Select the required Tax Treatment,
    1. Regular, Seniors and Pensioners, No TFN, Foreign Resident and/or Horticulturists and Shearers.
      1. Select the Income Stream you require from either Salary and Wages or Closely Held Payee.
      2. Enter the Gross Payments Total for the current financial year.
      3. Enter the PAYGW Total EXCLUDING any amounts attributed to Employment Termination Payments.
      4. Enter the total Bonuses & Commissions amount.
      5. Enter the total Director's Fees amount.
      6. Enter the total Overtime amount.
      7. For Paid Leave, select the relevant Pay Type in Paid Leave Description, enter the Gross amount, then select the + Icon.
      8. For Allowances, select the relevant Pay Type in Allowance Description, enter the Gross amount, then select the + Icon.
      9. For Salary Sacrifice, select the relevant Pay Type in Salary Sacrifice Description, enter the Gross amount, then select the + Icon.
      10. For Lump Sum, select the relevant Pay Type in Lump Sum Description, enter the Gross amount, select the Financial Year, then select the + Icon.
      11. For Termination Payments, select the Payment Date and ETP Code, enter the Tax Free Component or Taxable Component, and PAYGW amounts, then select the + Icon.
      12. Select Deductions.
      13. For Deductions, select the relevant Pay Type in Deduction Description, enter the Net, then select the + Icon.
      14. Select Superannuation.
      15. Enter the OTE amount.
      16. Enter the SG Liability amount.
      17. Enter the RESC (Sal Sac) amount.
      18. Enter the RESC (Additional) amount.
      19. Select Other Balances.
      20. Enter the total Method B (ii) Gross amount paid to your Payee.
      21. Enter the total Method B (ii) PAYGW amount paid by your Payee.
      22. Enter the total Reimbursements amount that has been paid to your Payee
      23. Enter the STSL Total amount that your Payee has repaid.
      24. Enter the total Death Benefit Payments amount paid to the Beneficiary.
      25. Enter the Additional PAYGW amount which your Payee has repaid.
    2. Seasonal Worker Programme.
      1. The Income Stream is automatically set to Seasonal Worker Programme.
      2. Enter the Gross Payments Total for the current financial year.
      3. Enter the PAYGW Total EXCLUDING any amounts attributed to Employment Termination Payments.
      4. Enter the total Bonuses & Commissions amount.
      5. Enter the total Overtime amount.
      6. For Paid Leave, select the relevant Pay Type in Paid Leave Description, enter the Gross amount, then select the + Icon.
      7. For Allowances, select the relevant Pay Type in Allowance Description, enter the Gross amount, then select the + Icon.
      8. For Salary Sacrifice, select the relevant Pay Type in Salary Sacrifice Description, enter the Gross amount, then select the + Icon.
      9. For Lump Sum, select the relevant Pay Type in Lump Sum Description, enter the Gross amount, select the Financial Year, then select the + Icon.
      10. For Termination Payments, select the Payment Date and ETP Code, enter the Tax Free Component or Taxable Component, and PAYGW amounts, then select the + Icon.
      11. Select Deductions.
      12. For Deductions, select the relevant Pay Type in Deduction Description, enter the Net, then select the + Icon.
      13. Select Superannuation.
      14. Enter the OTE amount.
      15. Enter the SG Liability amount.
      16. Enter the RESC (Sal Sac) amount.
      17. Enter the RESC (Additional) amount.
      18. Select Other Balances.
      19. Enter the total Method B (ii) Gross amount paid to your Payee.
      20. Enter the total Method B (ii) PAYGW amount paid by your Payee.
      21. Enter the total Reimbursements amount that has been paid to your Payee
      22. Enter the STSL Total amount that your Payee has repaid.
      23. Enter the total Death Benefit Payments amount paid to the Beneficiary.
      24. Enter the Additional PAYGW amount which your Payee has repaid.
    3. Working Holiday Maker.
      1. The Income Stream is automatically set to Working Holiday Maker.
      2. Select the Country that is relevant to the Payee's Visa.

      3. Enter the Gross Payments Total for the current financial year.
      4. Enter the PAYGW Total EXCLUDING any amounts attributed to Employment Termination Payments.
      5. Enter the total Bonuses & Commissions amount.
      6. Enter the total Overtime amount.
      7. For Paid Leave, select the relevant Pay Type in Paid Leave Description, enter the Gross amount, then select the + Icon.
      8. For Allowances, select the relevant Pay Type in Allowance Description, enter the Gross amount, then select the + Icon.
      9. For Salary Sacrifice, select the relevant Pay Type in Salary Sacrifice Description, enter the Gross amount, then select the + Icon.
      10. For Lump Sum, select the relevant Pay Type in Lump Sum Description, enter the Gross amount, select the Financial Year, then select the + Icon.
      11. For Termination Payments, select the Payment Date and ETP Code, enter the Tax Free Component or Taxable Component, and PAYGW amounts, then select the + Icon.
      12. Select Deductions.
      13. For Deductions, select the relevant Pay Type in Deduction Description, enter the Net, then select the + Icon.
      14. Select Superannuation.
      15. Enter the OTE amount.
      16. Enter the SG Liability amount.
      17. Enter the RESC (Sal Sac) amount.
      18. Enter the RESC (Additional) amount.
      19. Select Other Balances.
      20. Enter the total Method B (ii) Gross amount paid to your Payee.
      21. Enter the total Method B (ii) PAYGW amount paid by your Payee.
      22. Enter the total Reimbursements amount that has been paid to your Payee
      23. Enter the STSL Total amount that your Payee has repaid.
      24. Enter the total Death Benefit Payments amount paid to the Beneficiary.
      25. Enter the Additional PAYGW amount which your Payee has repaid.
  7. Select Save.

Change Opening Taxation Balances for a specific Payee.

  1. Select Payees.
  2. Locate the Payee you require by manually scrolling through the Payee List, entering the name into Search or using Show Advanced Filters.
  3. Once the Payee has been located, select Actions > Edit.
  4. Select Taxation Balances.
  5. Select the Taxation Balances Accordion to expand the window. 
  6. Then, select Opening/Adjustment.
  7. Select Tax Treatments and Income Stream(s).
  8. Select the Tax Treatment you require.
  9. Amend the required balance/s, then select Save.
